Program Spotlight – SDSU Youth Adventure Program

SDSU Youth Adventure ProgramSDSU’s American Language Institute is hosting a new Youth Adventure Program for 15—18 year olds who will participate in English and culture study from July 9—29, 2017.

The program will be held on the beautiful SDSU campus in sunny Southern California, just 15 minutes from downtown San Diego and local beaches.

Students study English and local culture for three hours each morning. After class, students will participate in on-campus activities and local excursions. In addition, there are full-day trips on Saturdays.

“This is not an ordinary language course,” said Van Hillier, senior director of new initiatives for ALI. “Our students will have English and culture classes in the morning, and be involved in campus and local San Diego activities organized by ALI Monday through Friday afternoons and all day Saturday. They’ll be with their host family every evening and participating with host family events on Sundays.”

Students live with a host family who takes them to school each morning and picks them up in the evening. Students come to the United States on a B-1/B-2 tourist visa during their stay.

Homestay accommodation includes breakfast and dinner each day, airport pick-up and drop-off, a trolley and bus pass, medical insurance, 15 hours of English and American culture class per week, and all activities.

Planned excursions include the San Diego Zoo, Old Town, Point Loma, La Jolla, Balboa Park, San Diego Bay, and other on-campus activities.
