IBE StudentsCertificate Requirements

  • You must be level 104 (General Level and Oral Communications Level) or higher in order to do the IBE program.
  • You will be in morning IEC English and IBE classes.   (General Levels 106/107 enroll in Business Video as Option Choice; General Level 104 enrolls in IBE Reading and General Level 105 enrolls in IBE Reading and IBE Writing.)
  • You must take all required IBE classes in your level and a minimum of one business elective in addition to your English classes.
  • In addition to the business classes, IBE students will be required to complete an outside option project:
    • SDSU class observation (levels 105 or higher)
    • Research project
    • Journal
    • Industry Interview
  • You must register for the full session to receive the Certificate of Recognition or the full semester to receive the Certificate of Achievement.
