Business Engineering Certificate
SDSU’s Business Engineering Certificate is available through ALI’s Semester at SDSU program.
This unique interdisciplinary certificate provides students with specialized knowledge in the areas of business and engineering. Students will have the opportunity to enhance their business knowledge and technical skills through topics of their interest while also gaining an in depth understanding of how business and engineering fit together.

Credits earned are listed on an official SDSU transcript and may be transferable to
other universities.
Certificate Requirement — 12 undergraduate units or 9 graduate units
Enroll in one business course (3 undergraduate or graduate units) from Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Management, and Marketing. Other business-related courses in other departments such as Economics are also acceptable:
The remaining 6 graduate units or 9 undergraduate units are the student’s choice, but must be in the departments of:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Art (related to design, fabrication, or media)
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Computer Science
- Construction Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Statistics
Students must complete all classes with a grade of B- or higher. For course descriptions and class schedules, please visit sdsu.edu/schedule. Please be aware not all courses are offered every semester.
Please note that Global Campus cannot guarantee participation in specific university courses. Students enroll in classes on a space-available basis. Some classes may have pre-requirements.
