Qualcomm 5G Digital Communications Certificate

Qualcomm 5G Digital Communications Certificate is available through the Summer at SDSU program of Global Campus.

A comprehensive program designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the rapidly growing field of 5G technology. Students with an advanced level of English proficiency and related academic/professional background can expand their knowledge by choosing this certificate.

Admission RequirementsProof of prior knowledge in related subjects:

Official or unofficial college transcript in PDF format indicating current enrollment in related subjects (Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Application, etc), or
Proof of at least one year of professional experience in related fields

Proof of English proficiency
TOEFL 61, or
IELTS 5.5, or
CET 4 – 500, or CET 6 – 470, or
Duolingo 90

A financial statement, less than three months old, that shows a minimum of $9,225 in available funds.

Program Courses

Students are enrolled in a total of 2 courses in digital communication, delivered and supervised by experienced faculty members from SDSU. 

3 units from one of the following courses:

E E 558 – Digital Communications, or

COMPE 560 – Computer and Data Network, or

A digital communication related course recommended by SDSU faculty

3 units in Special Study Topic

Focused on preparing students to take the Associate – Level 5G Certificate (course contents are created by Qualcomm Academy). 

Program Outcome

Upon successful completion of the program, student can:

  • Qualcomm Associate-Level 5G Certification after passing the Qualcomm 5G Certification Exam.
  • Program Completion Certificate from SDSU Global Campus
  • Earn 6 units from SDSU and the official SDSU transcripts
